About Us

In 1994, a small group of Equestrians in the Nueces County area realized that the Coastal Bend has an abundance of natural beauty and resources-Bay and Gulf waters, beaches, fishing, and range land hunting. However, they believed that several elements were missing, a vital part of our heritage and culture, Farming, Ranching and the Wild Horse Desert. The group was formed with the sole mission "to educate, promote, participate, and preserve our past, present and future of our Texas heritage.

The TRHC has been working for several years with local, state and national groups and foundations to make the TRHC a possiblity in South Texas.  Through thier generous help, support, and expertise in thier fields, this will be a world class facilitiy.  You can help us preserve our past, so that our children and future Texans can benefit from our unique heritage.

To turn these visions into reality, the Texas Ranching Heritage Center and Horse Park needs financial contributions. Won't you help make TRHC a reality by donating generously!

The Ranching Heritage Center will pay tribute to the hard working farms and ranches that make up Texas history. From the houses, and barns to the equipment used by all. The Cowboys, Native Americans, Vaqueros, Black Seminole, Afro-Americas and all ranching traditions of Texas will be preserved for all to enjoy and experience. There will be hands on exhibits with interaction and re-enactment’s. Authentic equipment, artifacts, art, materials and buildings will be an intricate part of the the ranching and farming experience.

The Texas Ranching Heritage Center and Horse Park, Inc. will provide and support educational, cultural, and humanities activities that explore the significant ranching, and ranch horse themes and events in Texas. As well as, in American history, thereby advancing knowledge of the founding principles of Texas in their full historical, institutional, physical, and cultural context.
